ABOUT KENNEL

History

In the beginning of 90th chows from Czechoslovakia were delivered in the kennel Alkmena, they were two red females - Wesna Dukat Severu (date of birth: March, 07, 1990) and Xantipa Dukat Severu (date of birth: March, 08, 1990) and a red male - Athis of Magnolia (date of birth: April, 25, 1991). In the same time we carried on negotiations for purchase of fawn female from USA and black female from Holland, they were accordingly Pambis American Dream (date of a birth: August, 16, 1990) and Anhwei Sulianhei (date of a birth: March, 02, 1991). Work with an available heads of dogs begans and we had bred the first chows from which the puppies were left in kennel for the future breeding.
On February, 23, 1992 a litter was born from the pair Athis of Magnolia x Pambis American Dream. From that litter we left in our kennel Alkmena Dream Bonifatsia (red female), later she gave us fine puppies. Her puppies did not remain unnoticed: two females from different litters, who went to Italy, conquered the hearts and won the first places in show rings of this country.
But the most famous puppy of Alkmena Dream Bonifatsia was her daughter - red Alkmena Kaina, she began her show career from the age of nine month in Vienna, where she became the Young World Champion. And further she won the titles of the Russia Champion, Denmark Champion, Belarus Champion, she became the Champion of Europe 2 times, she became the InterChampion and the prize-winner of numerous shows.
On May, 05, 1993 the puppies were born from the pair: Athis of Magnolia x Ena Dziva, and from that litter we left a red alimony male in our kennel. Actually, a choice was very poor, because the owner of female practically already distributed all puppies, and this puppy remained unnoticed with other one. We named this puppy Mafusail Insanta (or Vanechka, as everywhere and everyone knows him). Vanechka began his really victorious procession on the dog show "Russia - 94" where he became "Best-in-Show". This dog differed from many chows of our kennel by his love to showing, it was his vocation, he was boring without shows, without a bright lights and a loud applause, which accompanied Vanechka in his show career. When Mafusail Insanta was five he already had a set of titles: the Russia Champion, Belarus Champion, R.Champion of Europe, the World Champion, InterChampion, the winner of dog show "the Gold collar", the prize-winner of show "the Championship of Champions" (second place). His fighter's soul and his will to victory helped him to became the best dog of show in difficult climatic conditions in Spain (the temperature of air was equaled to forty degrees).
But we shall return in 1993. This year blue male Alkmena Diamant Allois (Go Cej Silver Sedou x Anhwei Sulianhei) was born in kennel. Further he became the fine producer and the owner of high titles: InterChampion,Russia Champion, Georgia Champion.

Being engaged in breeding of chow chows, it is impossible to work only with a heads of dogs in own kennel or to work only with a heads of dogs in the country. Analyzing books about becoming chow chows in the world, you can encounter with the certain law: many kennels of Europe have dogs' "blood" of the Canadian kennel "Mi Pao". After the negotiations we delivered in the kennel "Alkmena" four dogs from Canada: a red male - Mi Pao'S Red Robin and a red female - Mi Pao's Flight of Fancy, a black male - Mi Pao's Midnight Cruising and a black female - Mi Pao's Surprising.

Kennel

The kennel "Alkmena" was founded in 1987 and today remains one of the oldest and biggest chow-kennels in Russia. Now 20-30 females and 7-10 males are in Zagorianka where the kennel is located. All of them except young dogs are champions of Russia. In "Alkmena" live 16 Int. Champions, 11 of which are brought up here.
When I only have decided to be engaged in chow chows, in Czechoslovakia already there was such known kennel " Оf Magnolia " (owner: Alena Kurova). After her advice we have decided to name our kennel simply and laconically, not connecting this name with our surname. Having changed many variants, we have stopped on name "Alkmena" - she is the mother of Hercules in the Greek mythology.
Really, when you get into the kennel at once you will be feeling the sensation of the reliability and of the care with which all is constructed and made here. In the distance from road the house and structures of kennel are opening to you in the depth of a well-groomed garden with the multitude of flowers and Alpine hills. The ring of the bell pressed on the wicket excites the fuss and the commotion behind a fence and very soon you'll see the dogs of different colors running towards you for meeting. Curious red female Manja will be the first, who you will meet, and snow-white Orfy will smell with attention your clothes and will stop thoughtful - " to let you come in or not to let? " Sedately, as well as it is necessary, Alkmena Kaina (Europe Champion) will approach. If you will look at her, you'll think, that she is " just from a beauty salon ", so her magnificent wool is naturally tidy and well-groomed. He is the champion of Russia, Int.Champion, very judicious and counterbalanced person. In his veins the blood of Mi Pao's Midnight Cruising and Alkmena Diamant Hloya is flowing.

They were perfectly grown up and have calm temperament - the dogs with the bad character do not become Champions. Simply come in and sit down to drink some tea with owners.
